Community Guidelines

What are Community Guidelines and how do they differ from General Conditions?

At IMBUED, we are committed to maintaining a welcoming and respectful space where users can find inspiration and express themselves creatively. Our Community Guidelines outline the standards of behavior and content that are acceptable on the platform to help protect that environment, while our General Conditions represent a formal agreement between you and IMBUED, detailing mutual rights and responsibilities. The General Conditions include the obligation for users to fully comply with our Community Guidelines. You can read our General Conditions.

What do our Community Guidelines cover?
Intellectual Property – Only share content that you have the right to use. We take the protection of intellectual property very seriously and aim to foster a space that respects authors’ ownership while encouraging creativity and community trust.
You should not upload or share content that infringes other people’s legal rights, such as copyrights or trademarks. Keep in mind that, in many countries, copyright protection typically lasts for 70 years after the author’s death, so be sure that any content you post is either in the public domain or you have the authorization of the author to post it.
Spam – Spamming in any form is prohibited. This includes sending or posting unwanted images, messages, comments, likes, or other types of promotional or harassing content.
Illegal Content – IMBUED does not allow content that promotes or praises terrorism, hate groups, pornography, or organized crime. The platform also strictly forbids offers of sexual services and the sale of weapons, drugs, or any other illegal goods or services.
Hate Speech, Bullying and Abuse – We do not tolerate behavior that targets individuals or groups based on attributes such as race, ethnicity, national origin, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, religion, disability, or illness. Content that includes threats, personal attacks, or abusive language may be removed.
Graphic Violence – We limit the visibility of content depicting extreme violence. In cases where graphic content is shared for the purpose of raising awareness, or documenting artworks or newsworthy events, exceptions may be made—provided the context supports public interest.

What should I do if I see something that violates the Community Guidelines?
If you come across any content that you believe goes against these Guidelines, please help us maintain the integrity of the community by reporting it through our notice and takedown system.

How content is reviewed
IMBUED uses a mix of automated AI tools and human moderators to detect and review content that may violate our Guidelines. When potential violations are identified by our systems, content may be automatically removed or sent to a human reviewer for further assessment.
We recognize that some content may serve important purposes—such as artistic expression, education, historical documentation, or scientific research—and our reviewers take context into account when making decisions.

What happens if somebody breaches the Community Guidelines?
When content is found to breach our Community Guidelines, it may be removed. In some cases, we may remove the entire post even if only the image or caption is in violation. Repeated or serious violations can lead to account restrictions or permanent suspension. Users will be informed if their content has been taken down or if their account has been limited. You’ll be told what was removed, why it was removed, how it affects your account, and what actions you can take. Some decisions may be appealed if you believe the content complies with our Guidelines.
